Our story starts with some of Lobo’s finest cider and a fruitful chat with a top whiskey maker. From there, we double-distilled our cider in a traditional copper pot still, then aged it in French oak barrels for three years. The result? An apple brandy that’s as rich in flavor as it is in history.
In France, apple brandy goes by the name Calvados. We’re calling ours Lobodos, which means “Twice the Wolf”—a nod to our commitment to crafting something truly exceptional.
Lobodos isn’t just a drink; it’s an experience. Recently recognised as one of the Best Australian Spirits Top 20, it’s been described by Ryan as having “the spices that top an apple crumble and the fruit beneath, an oak maturation character that hints at an orchard shed, and a lovely dryness that lingers on the finish.”
